以下哪一句正確？

2. How long does it take to travel from here to school?
問所需時間多久，不能用 ‘how long is it’ (問長度）， 要用 ‘how long does it take’ (問一段時間）😊

Topic 101: 怎樣用 How long
1. How long is it from here to the post office?
2. How long does it take to walk from here to the post office?
3. How far is it from here to the post office?
以上三句哪句的文法是對的？
答案是第2及3句。第2句問行程時間（需時多久），第3句問距離（相距多遠）。有關 how long 的用法，請見附圖。
記住，如果是用來問路（例如在旅遊中心），便要先說 ‘Excuse me.’ 😘

Jenny (指的是小松鼠）
May’s ears are longer than Jenny.
這句有甚麼問題？
上句把‘May’s ears’ 和 ‘Jenny’比較，變成小兔子的耳朵比全隻小松鼠還要長！所以，應該用 ‘Jenny’s (ears)’，是比較她們的耳朵才對。

在小學生常用的過去分詞中，就只有以下五個要在加 -n/-en 前用雙輔音 (double consonants):
write, wrote, written
ride, rode, ridden
bite, bit, bitten
hide, hid, hidden
forget, forgot, forgotten
注意： gotten 是美語，英語是：
get, got, got

今次我們轉換一下話題。
以下哪一句不正確？
1. The closing ceremony of the 2016 Summer Olympics was held on the 21st August.
2. The closing ceremony of the 2016 Summer Olympics was held on 21st August.
3. The closing ceremony of the 2016 Summer Olympics was held on the twenty-first of August.
以上句子，我們應讀成第3句，而寫法則應寫成第2句 (21st August / 21 August) 或第3句 (the twenty- first of August)。
至於第1句 (the 21st August)，無論讀和寫都是不正確的。
